Saint Louis, Missouri — On Board Coffee has brewed up a fresh new take on the subscription plan. While most subscriptions penalize loyal customers, often enticing signups via one-time perks for new members, On Board Coffee rewards their existing customers with a sliding savings model.  Members who stick around long enough will end up with pricing that’d make your local coffee shop or grocer envious.

At its core, the Sliding Subscription offers increasing discounts every third purchase. Access to the biggest discount is unlocked on the 24th order (or 1 yea for bi-weekly plans) & will continue so long as the member does not pause or cancel. At this level, customers will pay just $1.00 above what it costs them to make & ship.

Dubbed the ‘Frequent Flyer Program’ the adventure-themed coffee brand, is trailblazing a welcome new take on the recurring order model, which has become a bit stale in recent years.

While it may be radical, Founder Valentina Sieli, an Italian immigrant who moved to St. Louis in 2021, isn’t looking to upend the subscription industry or challenge titans in the coffee industry. She says her original goal was to be able to create a  coffee roast she could enjoy like back home but quickly realized in order for it to be affordable, she’d need to start selling it.

“In Italy we drink coffee like Americans drink water. Since arriving in America I have tasted a lot of great coffee, but it is difficult to find consistently fresh, or is masked with sugar & spice. So I realized I must bring the pure, simple roasts from home. Perfect on its own or blended with the creative flavors I’ve found here.

It’s a welcome change to subscriptions, the recurring order model which has gained popularity in the online shopping era, due to the simplicity and convenience it offers consumers. So popular in fact the offer has become a bit stale in recent years due to lack of ingenuity or creative options.

How It Works

It’s super simple. Frequent Flyer members receive a $1 discount per bag in their 3rd order, then an additional $1 discount every 3rd order thereafter. At the 24th order, Members pay only $1 above our cost, forever.
